Acushla olive oil is produced in Quinta do Prado in the northern region of Trás-os-Montes. At 400m above sea level, the estate is spread over 750 acres which holds approximately 70,000 olive trees in which there are four different regional varieties: Cobrançosa, Madural, Verbal and Cordovil. Harvested in October and November and bottled in March and April, the oil is cold pressed in two stages. The combination creates a very balanced oil, medium fruity with a slightly bitter and spicy taste and a yellowish-green colour. It is an internationally awarded olive oil, including Great Taste Awards 2015
